Contemplating a Shagadelic SxXcation?
I have spent years now dialing in altered states and daily partnered pleasures. This has taught me the value of establishing routines and rituals that shape and reshape my relationship with bliss and longevity.
It has changed my perspective to time and how I choose to spend it and allows me to show up and remain deeply present.
Scheduling regular Shagadelic experiences drives intimacy, gives room for new kinks and lets you live life ecstatic.
It lets you BE yourself while letting your partner BE.
The GIFT of Time
Give the gift of time. Nothing lasts longer or is more memorable.
By my 50’s, I finally understood that “time” is my most valuable asset. For most of my life I was along for the ride. I let stress and obligations dictate time spent. Pleasure and flow states were not balls I considered juggling.
It took me years of practice to figure out how to dial in pleasure and practice flow states. It came after the kids were grown and after experience taught me to value time well spent above all else.
While kids, work, stress, illness, aging parents and finances can each feel like insurmountable hurdles, not finding ways to channel time into flow, to each other, builds resentment and compounding stress in your most important relationships.
Time is illusive. I find it slows down and speeds up relative to flow states — those quiet spaces where all your energy moves in one direction.
By embracing time and building routines that let you “drop in” you can learn to embrace bliss and dance together.
Together, you can remind each other to ‘keep on dancing’.
SxX ‘n Drugs
If shame does not follow your SxX ‘n Drugs and you enjoy playing with your person then read on my friends!
Humans figured out early on how well these go together. So well we waged a 100 year WAR, prohibited, shamed and stigmatized. We used fear mongering to scare each other. We proselytized that sxX was bad while demanding procreation. We got very comfortable with hypocrisy and contradiction and threatened that altered states involving drugs were dangerous and liable to kill.
In the 1960’s cannabis and psychedelics bubbled to the surface. The sexual revolution was embraced by a generation ready to indulge in pleasure and enlightenment.
Timothy Leary’s voice carried. The option to Turn On, Tune In, and Drop Out was real. Rock ‘n Roll led the way while scenes from Haight-Ashbury showed that peace, love and togetherness was possible, until it wasn’t. Until we allowed excess and fear to shame pleasure and enlightenment.
I think it’s time to take it back.
Let’s Dance
If inspired and ready to explore a Shagadelic escape and you have a willing party to play with I’ve got some dance moves and venue suggestions to share.
Set Your Intentions
Be open about expectations and get ready to focus on each other. This is not a square dance.
Prepare to TANGO – No Work, No Phones. No Others.
The best dancers all plan, practice, and dress for the occasion.
Then comes the dance — the surrender. The surge of dopamine, serotonin and endorphins that leave you feeling groovy.
Dial in Your SPACE
Whether settling in for a long night, a long weekend or taking a much needed shagadelic sxXcation get ready to pack your bags and prepare for your “bed-in”. While protesting may not be at the top of your shagadelic escape agenda, sending good vibes and prayers to the Universe against sexism, racism, systematic poverty and the War on Drugs can be time well spent between shagging in the sheets.

John & Yoko's Bed-In
March 1969 - Amsterdam/Montreal Honeymoon - Bed-In | Yoko Ono and John Lennon spent their two week honeymoon protesting and shagging. A “Bed-In” is a nonviolent protest against WAR.
Pack your Bags to Stay in Bed
Plan and pack so your space is your oasis. Keep food and water handy. Lube and toothbrushes are a must.
Everything else can follow your kinks… lingerie, butt plugs, handcuffs, roll play, this is all up to you. If breaking out some brand new kinks that requires any dexterity consider practicing before your escape.
Lighting, Music and Film
The less you leave to chance the better the dance.
Lighting
Whether vacation or staycation make your space your own.
Dialing in your lighting just makes sense. It allows you to set and change the mood. I’ve invested in Smart Bulbs throughout my home to control color and hue. Light up your ceiling, get psychedelic ceiling lights and don’t forget to bring them with you when you travel. This is a great way to dial in your space no matter where you land.

Lighting up our psychedelic ceiling at our Oregon cabin
Keeping the lighting low with red and orange hues helps me feel good and makes everyone look better. If broadcasting to your TV and shooting some videos while you play, getting the lighting right is especially important.
Dial it in before you Drop In.
Tanya’s Tips: Keep the lights low. Following in Keith Richards footsteps, when traveling, pack some scarfs or lingerie to drape over all the lamps. While possibly a fire hazard there is no better way to set and control the mood.
Set and Setting
Dial in your space but don’t overcomplicate it.
A new destination, having nature to lean on is good and can help set the mood. This said, if taking your dance horizontal then your top priority should be the comfort of your bed and not leaving it.
If you set your space up for success before the dance begins you’ll have everything you need to focus on each other and fully drop in.
Tanya’s Tips: When planning your shagadelic escape pick states where your drugs are at least semi-decriminalized. I live between Colorado and Oregon. My “go to” destination is our cabin near the Oregon coast. Off the beaten path with hiking and walks on the beach it is secluded no need to mingle with others.
Know Your Drugs
If bringing psychoactive substances to your altered states dance party and new to the experience please educate yourself. Make sure your drugs are safe and tested before you dance. If stacking different drugs (recreational, prescribed and supplements) know what works well together and what is contraindicated. This is not a discovery you will want to make during your escape. If new to this party start slow, track and stack wisely.
Less is often more when it comes to psychedelic substances. When dialing in drugs for a prolonged dance the objective is to find your sweet spot.
Getting lost in a free fall is counterintuitive to dropping into an elevated sexual experience.
For regular trippers dialing in optimal experiences comes with practice understanding dosing, application, stacking and contraindications.
Tanya’s Tips: If you are looking for a deeper dive into the interplay of psychoactive substances and flow states and navigating dosing, application, stacking and contraindications Let’s Talk. Follow oOYes | YestoSex for upcoming interactive WeFloYo events.
Breaking it Down – 3-Day and 7-Day “Trips”
If Shagadelic escapes are within your reach now is the time to make it happen.
If time eludes you start with a 3-Day Staycation and build your way to that week of bliss.
During these uncertain times why not follow John & Yoko’s lead and drop in your own “Bed In”. This focus on each other, on pleasure and intimacy, can jump start routines, prioritize oOrgasmic pleasure and pave the way for dialing in ‘flo states’.
Dialed in and practiced regularly you’ll always have something better to do!
Let’s Go…
